Rock Climbing course for beginners

A basic mini course lasting three days, consisting of practical instruction in progression techniques and safety , where the aim is to bring beginners closer to competence in this sport.

What is taught:
Progression on rock (on easy walls climbing , descent and ascent, teaching movement, use of boots, and setting the route) Security techniques on monotiri (la moulinette). Progress on routes with more than one rope Techniques and training programs.
Itinerary:
  • 1° day: Meet at 9.00 at the Alpine Guide Office of Courmayeur, equipment check. Transfer to climbing area and theoretical-practical preparation.
  • 2° day: Meet at 9.00 at the Alpine Guide Office of Courmayeur to transfer to Saint Pierre. Application of preparation techniques learnt the day before.
  • 3° day: Meet at 8.30 at the Alpine Guide Office of Courmayeur for transfer to Morgex. Application of preparation techniques learnt the day before.

4 persons Cost: Euro 245 per person in a group of 4 persons
Cost includes: Mountain guide. Specified equipment Transfer from Courmayeur to climbing area Emergency rescue insurance
Not included: Anything not specified.
Minimum level required: Beginners wishing to learn something new.
Period: From May to October dependent on the conditions.

Participants: Individuals, groups, families and youths aged 16 or over with parents permission.
Equipment: Rucksack of 25 lit., windcheater, flask, track suit, hiking boots, climbing boots, climbing harness, two screw carabinas, descender, helmet It is possible to hire equipment from recommended local shops.
