From December 2017 to April 2018 the Museum "Duca degli Abruzzi" you can visit the Photographic exibition "Nos-Atre" from Stefano Torrione.
The 15th of August the Courmayeur Mountain Guides celebrate their 122° day. Program: 9.00: meeting in front of the main Church in town and procession 10.00: celebration of the holy mass at S. Pantaleone church 11.00: the celebration moves to the Jardin de L'Ange square for the speech of the Guides' president
The exhibition, entitled "Cathedrals of Ice. Vittorio Sella, Himalayas, 1909" seeks to pay homage to Vittorio Sella, one of the greatest mountain photographers of all time, by illustrating the extraordinary expedition in the Himalayas following Prince Luigi Amedeo of Savoy, Duke of the Abruzzi. The exhibition, curated by Daria Jorioz and Paolo Repetto, in collaboration with the Fondazione Sella non-profit association of Biella, comprises over 50 photographs by Vittorio Sella. The images on show, dating back to 1909, are all vintage (i.e. printed in the same year they were taken) and belong to a large private collection.
